« The Pleasure
of Ski»
Originally from
Savoie, I started skiing at the age of 3 and I was immediately hooked. I became
the French school and university champion but it was the love of the snow and
the mountains that made me want to become a ski instructor and to share with
others my love for this sport. I particularly appreciate spending my days with
scenic views of the snowy mountain.
I have been
teaching for 44 years and I arrived at La Tania at its creation in 1992.
I enjoy teaching
beginner skiers because there is always such a large margin of progression.
My best memory (which
is always relived) is when beginner skiers realise in 2 days that they have
already accomplished what they did not think possible in a week! I help my
students to feel confident and control their speed whilst skiing, so that they
can enjoy and improve without apprehension.
My favorite spot:
la combe des pylônes in Courchevel.
I have skied in
other resorts in both France and abroad and what I have learn’t is; that we
live and work in a wonderful and exceptional place, but we must not be
complacent as we are not the only ones and the competition will only get
larger.
The 5 most
beautiful tracks in the world for me are:
Lognan Les Grands
Montets in Argentiere
La face de
Bellevarde in Val d'Isere
Streif in
Kitzbuehel
Saslong in Val
Gardena
Les Jockeys in
Courchevel
Besides being an
instructor I am a also a company manager, but skiing is so much more enjoyable
...
My other passion
is to travel and discover the world and different civilizations.
